Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Cat Food Calm 4 Kg, Worked for my cat

My two cats love this and it really does seem to have a calming effect since they started eating it. This is a vet recommended food, and can be ordered from most vets. I have bought it from several suppliers as the prices can differ, also some places offer 10, 15 or 20% off for new customers (do a search for it). It also comes in a 4kg pack which is usually more cost effective. I have two rescue cats and the older one had been living in a stressful situation prior to being dumped. She was badly injured and had probably been used as bait for dog fights. I have two litter boxes in separate parts of the house which are cleaned daily but when she was stressed for any reason, especially the next door neighbour’s dog barking, she would either overgroom until she had bald patches or pee in cat beds, on our beds, sofa etc. I tried everything i could to give her a calm environment, had feliway plug ins and sprays and toys with valerian which helped somewhat but after a few months i’d find she was showing signs of stress again. She’s been on this diet for a while now and seems much happier.

Great except that i have not noticed a lot of difference in the cats (still fighting).

One of my cats suffers from terrible anxiety and was struggling to be completely house trained. I had previously tried medication from the vet with no luck. They suggested trying this for 2 months and see if it helped. Within a week my cat was back to being the happy, contended and docile cat he was as a kitten. Best of all he was using a litter tray even if one of the others had already used it. My cat has been on this food for well over a year now and the change in him is incredible. If you are having any problems with your cat i highly recommend trying this food.

My cat has a nervous nature this food has helped keep her calm really helps.

    Working wonders for my over groomer. This has changed the life of my cat, she was an over groomer to the point of going bald, she’s been on this food for just over 2 months now and what a difference, she’s calmer in herself, her fur is growing back, she’s a much happier kitty now, you name it i’ve tried it this def works for her.

    This is helping to keep our cats calm. Ours is a stressful home and for months we have been battling with a ‘phantom piddler’. Having ruled out medical problems we were left with environmental and a neighbour who is a veterinary nurse suggested this product. We have gone from daily accidents to occasional ones and our kitties who had been sort of ‘time sharing’ some areas now co-exist much more happily.

    1. Delivered well before the quoted time. As for the food itself – the cat which it is intended for likes it, and so does t?he other one. They appear to be happy, whether it is having the desired effect only time will tell.
