Royal Canin Urinary S/O Cat Pouches 48 x 100g : easy to order and came within dates told

Works very well but quality control seems poor. My cat (male, 7 years old) has been on this urinary s/o diet for about 18 months. While it seems to be working well, he refuses to eat sachets having specific batch numbers. Other batch numbers are fine, but some just seem completely unpalatable. I’ve kept a written record over the last year so i am pretty certain his refusal, or otherwise, is determined entirely by which manufacturing batch it comes from. This applies to both the beef and the chicken flavour sachets, although he tends to refuse the chicken ones more often. Strangely, those batches which i have purchased online (either via amazon or other suppliers) are more likely to be refused than those i buy from the vet, which leads me to think the manufacturers do palatability tests on each batch and tend to sell the poorer batches to the cheap online suppliers. Unfortunately, the supplies i buy from the vets are about £18 more expensive (for 48 sachets). My cat likes to lick off the gravy and often leaves the ‘meaty’ chunks behind so i normally mash it all up together with a fork and he’s then quite happy to eat it all (batch number permitting). He rarely drinks water despite him always having a fresh bowl available.

I feed this periodically to my cat to keep a previously cured urinary tract infection at bay.

The pouches are good in themselves – i think. The pouches are good in themselves – i think. My cat has now gone off the food and goes to any end not to eat it – prefering other cat food – that he steals. Other cats will eat this food wet or dried. If anyone can help with this please let me know.

I have two male cats who both developed urinary issues leading to expensive vets bills. These s/o pouches definitely helped them recover. We buy nothing else now & have had no issues since. Max & bruce wolf it down as soon as the bowl hits the floor so they seem to think its tasty. Available in both chicken & beef for a little variety. Remember if you go into nectar. Com first & click on the amazon link from there you get nectar points for your purchase.

If your cat has urinary s/o this is the product for you. I was scepticle when i first tried her on it but wouldnt use anything else now. She hasnt needed to go to the vets for over 6 months now and thats a record for her.

My cat doesnt mind this food though he’s not crazy about it. Please note that this price is for 12 pouches not 48.
