Royal Canin Cat Food Gastro Intestinal 100g : My cat loves it!

Very important for any cat needing a nutricious and low fat diet.

My oriental has always had digestive issues, frequent vomiting etc. A few months back the vet recommended this, and now amazingly no further incidents, my cat is much perkier now. I cannot recommend this food highly enough.

Possibly my cat’s favourite cat food. Here are the specifications for the Royal Canin Cat Food Gastro Intestinal 100g:

  • Includes nutrients which help to support a balanced digestive system.
  • Highly palatable, making it perfect for fussy eaters.
  • A balanced energy content, which meets the needs of cats without overloading them.
  • Contains epa to help maintain a healthy digestive system.

But this stuff is great and doesn’t upset his delicate little belly. Our cat is allergic to everything: plastic, fish, generic cat food etc. . But this stuff is great and doesn’t upset his delicate little belly.

Kittens diarrhea was gone in 2 days. My little kitten had some serious diarrhea problems and our vet suggested to try this food. The problem ended after 2 days, but now 3 months later my kitten is not eating any other food. All would be good, but to buy this from the vet is too expensive, so this is a good value. Kitten is healthy, we been eating this food for 6 months now and no problems whatsoever. He is gaining his normal weight and we don’t have diarrhea issues anymore :).

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a pet with similar problems
  • IBS miracle worker!
  • My cat loves it!

Then i tried chicken breast and rice bland diet it seemed to make her worse. I bought these gastro pouches. My kitten had awful bowel movements since she arrived , she was wormed and had a few vet visits and the problem fluctuated over three months , she was on quality food and probiotics from the vet , i was frustrated as nothing worked she was losing weight and then was being sick ,and stopped using the litter tray. I had been reading various recommendations i tried the sensitive royal canin food with no improvement, then i tried chicken breast and rice bland diet it seemed to make her worse. I bought these gastro pouches , and she just licked the gravy off so i decided to mash it up , and she ate it no problem. It’s been two weeks and she is amazing her poos are formed she looks shiney and is putting on weight, i don’t know how it works but it does , just need to wean her off the pouches onto another type , she still has the gastro dry food though she doesn’t eat much dry, the only problem is my other persian thinks it’s very tasty too so having to separate them at feeding time though she does sneak in and finish the scraps , but she is looking amazing too her coat is like silk , she has royal canin persian and whatever else her pal leaves and the odd spider i am just so pleased to see her thriving and enjoying her food again , bit expensive but i give her a spoonful at a time so there is no waste , as she only eats small portions.

My cat had pancreatitis and this is what she eats. My cat had pancreatitis and this is what she eats. There’s a moderate calorie version – but he prefers this one.

    1. We have a senior devon rex with ibs, usually we give him royal canin sensitivity. Recently he had a bad ibs flare-up, with daily vomiting and diarrhea, as well as a swollen stomach. He couldn’t hold down the sensitivity food, and was refusing to eat it. However any other cat food, while he wouldn’t vomit it up, exacerbated his diarrhea instead. Either way, he wasn’t getting any nutrition and was losing more liquids than he was absorbing. After several trips to the vets, who prescribed pre-biotics, pro-biotics, anti-emetics, anti-diuretics and liquid vitamin supplements, none of their approaches had made any difference (especially as we had to add the medicinep in standard cat food, as he wouldn’t touch sensitivity) and we were desperately worried. Through trying to find electrolyte solutions for cats (as i was worried about dehydration) i stumbled across this food, the royal canin gastrointestinal. At this point we just wanted him to be able to eat something and hold it in long enough to get some nutrition from it, so though it’s not cheap we decided to try it since it contains electrolytes and specifically says it’s good for ibs and convalescent cats. He took to it straight away, and after several days his tummy is almost back to normal.

She has a much better constitution since we ditched felix and put her on. Reviewing on behalf of our bengal with a delicate stomach. She has a much better constitution since we ditched felix and put her on this. Pricey, compared to other cat food brands, but less vet visits required now.
