Convenient food system which (my) cats adore. My moggies have been eating iams for 10yrs or more, and thrive on it. It’s a complete diet in itself, so you don’t need to feed them ‘wet’ cat food as well — although mine do appreciate a bit of variety and the odd sachet of something juicy, too. You don’t need to feed cats very much iams — portion sizes are quite small — and it’s easy to over-feed, so you have to be a bit careful that you don’t end up with fat catsiams pellets are ideal for cats who live indoors and use litter trays; there’s less to clean up and it’s much less smelly/offensive. You must ensure that your cats have plenty of water available, however. It’s also worth bearing in mind that some of the more specialised varieties cna get quite expensive. Always check the ‘price per kilo’. Bigger bags are generally cheaper but my cats do get bored with eating one flavour for a long time. So you may need to get a couple of properly airtight tins so you can buy big bags at low prices, and swap between varieties to keep cats happy. And you definitely need airtight tins: the bags are resealable but the seal isn’t perfect, and it seems that some of the flavour escapes over time, which again makes the food less interesting for the felines.
Despite being ordered days before christmas this item was delivered in 5 days to mainland greece. This was my pet cats favourite food in the uk and have until now been unable to buy in greece so highly delighted and the bonuses are it was a good price with free delivery as i ordered with another item taking my order value to just over £25, will be buying now on a regular basis as this is also a good quality food for the price and will definitely be recommending to my friends and neighbours here in greece.
Better value than the supermarkets. I have always bought iams for my cat as , unlike wet food, it does not smell. My fussy cat likes iams and this deal is better value than my local supermarket. Here are the specifications for the Iams Adult Chicken Dry Cat Food 1 kg:
- Chicken for strong muscles
- Prebiotics and beet pulp for healthy digestion
- Antioxidants to support a strong immune system
- 7 essential nutrients for a healthy heart
- Rich in succulent roast chicken
Every fussy cat should try iams. . My cats are really fussy when it comes to food, especially dry food. Its small pieces which i think makes it easier for them to eat. With all its health benefits, its worth trying this even on the fusiest of cats.

I was very hesitant at going for iams for two reasons; the first is the price per weight, the second it being a dry food. Although the price seems steep, you don’t need to give so much at dinner-time, just a tiny cup. I thought ‘nah, she’ll be starving with this’, but no – it was enough for her, and she enjoyed it. As for it being a dry food, she seemed to go through a bit more water than normal, which i took to be the dry instead of wet element to the food, but it didn’t seem to pose any problems. It still ‘feels’ expensive, but it lasts a lot longer than a box of pouches, so in the long run, it seems to be comparable on price to pouches, and equally well received. The only negative i can perceive is that it’s the same flavour all the time, whereas pouches normally give four different flavours. However, she doesn’t seem to mind, so this gets full marks.
