Nash loves it and it helps keep his teeth clean, my vet recommended it and i am happy. . My darling boy nash had to have 3 teeth out a few weeks ago, which was traumatic for him and me, worrying about my 8 year old boy going under 🙁 but he was fine and made a great recovery, i didn’t recover too well from the vets bill it all cost though. However, my vet recommended this food when i went to collect him after his surgery as it apparently controls plaque build-up he told me and he gave me a tiny packet to trial. Nash was eating a few bits of it a day after having 3 teeth out and he finished the packet happily. I immediately came on to amazon to look for a large bag and found this 5kg bag. I was shocked how big when i first saw them, but the point of the big pieces is that the cat has to crunch it a lot to eat it, thus helping to clean their teeth of food, tartar etc. It seems to be doing the trick and nash loves it and he is one spoiled, fussy cat for sure. It is pricey, but a lot cheaper than surgery to remove teeth, so on balance its worth every penny to me if it keeps my boys teeth clean, him happy and well fed etc.
It does what it says on the packet as a well known product claims.

It won’t help to give it to a cat whose teeth are already in bad condition, as eating the kibble will be painful. This is supposed to prevent kitty’s teeth degrading. It won’t help to give it to a cat whose teeth are already in bad condition, as eating the kibble will be painful. So it’s a prevention rather than a cure. But should it be given to all cats as a prophylatic as a matter of course?. Or only used after the early signs of tooth degradation become noticeable?. This is a question for your vet.
Cost effective for keeping teeth clean. After paying 100gbp to the vet to have my cats teeth cleaned they sold me a 700g packet for about 13gbp. I’ve checked the cats teeth and so far after six months there is no discolouration to talk of. Trying paste and a special toothbrush isn’t an option for my cat so these pellets (small handful) fed once a day are doing the trick, and the vet agrees. Seems expensive at first but they’ll last for ages, and the cat likes them too, plus the free super saver delivery is a bonus.
So our two older cats are happy lads as they’ve always had td as their t. Cant get these in greece unless we hand over an arm and half a leg for a small bag – and thats in athens. Nothing at all on the islands. So our two older cats are happy lads as they’ve always had td as their t time food. Both have excellent teeth and at aged 13 thats as good as we want.
